How to ask for a specific format

Correct content in the wrong form still means extra work. For example, you need a table for a report but the AI writes a long paragraph. One extra sentence about format gets you a result in the right form, ready to use.

Format is the form of the answer. Common ways to ask:

• List: "List 5 points, one per line."
• Table: "Make a table with 3 columns: Task, Owner, Deadline."
• Length: "Under 80 words" or "exactly 3 sentences."
• Document type: "Write it as a text message" or "as an email with a subject line."

Tip: AI may not count words exactly. Check the result and ask for a change if needed.

2. Ask for a table

Copy the sample prompt, fill in a task of yours and send.

3. Change it to a message
